THE STORY

The Double Door Range introduces wines that are made from a mix of estate grapes and grapes brought in from neighbouring farms.

This gives us the chance to be creative and produce wines that have their own distinctive style.

The label is a sketch of our Cellar door, slightly ajar, inviting you to enter on your own explorative journey.

This 2024 vintage is 52% Viognier  47% Roussanne

This Quirky wine is a perfect food wine with structure. Hints of apricot with a textured palate.

IN THE CELLAR

A portion of the Roussanne had 8 hours skin contact in the press, the balance whole bunch pressed and then fermented in 300L Old French Barrels. The Viognier whole bunch pressed before fermentation in tank. The wine was matured for 12 months before bottling.

NOTE:

This is sadly the last Roussanne blend we can make as the block was lost in the February Franschhoek fires.

The block was situated on Mont Andre next to Glenwood.

The Viognier comes from our sister farm La Bourgogne (bordering on La Bri)
